Tell us about yourself
Use our application form to share your experience, interests, preferred work and availability.
02
Let’s get to know each other
We’ll review your application and get in touch to discuss your circumstances and any suitable opportunities.
03
Take the next steps together
Before work begins, we’ll explain the arrangements and complete the relevant identity, right-to-work, reference and DBS checks.
Applying does not commit you to a placement or guarantee an offer of work. Any opportunity must be the right fit for everyone.
A few useful details
Before you apply.
Do I need previous care experience?
Tell us about your paid, voluntary and personal experience. What’s needed will depend on the individual opportunity; we’ll discuss your suitability and any role requirements with you.
Where could I work?
Visiting companionship focuses on Oxfordshire, Surrey and West Sussex. For live-in placements, you can also select “Elsewhere in the UK” and tell us about any location preferences.
How are hours and work arrangements agreed?
Tell us when you’re available. We’ll explain the hours, payment and contractual arrangements for any suitable opportunity before you decide. Live-in companions are self-employed and contract directly with their clients.
What kind of support would I provide?
Our focus is companionship, shared interests and practical everyday support that helps people maintain their independence. Tasks and boundaries are agreed for each individual. Almost Family does not provide nursing care.
